API CJ-4 Diesel Engine Oil

Description

The American Petroleum Institute (API) monitors the quality and applicability of engine oils through the occasional introduction of performance categories - or, a set of performance standards - that meet the demands of new engines.

Diesel Engine Oils classified under API CJ-4 are generally designated for use in high-speed, four-stroke cycle diesel engines that meet 2007 model year on-highway exhaust emission standards and that may also run on ultra-low sulfur diesel (ULSD) fuel.

These API CJ-4 products are going to start transitioning over to the newest engine oil specification API CK-4 starting in December 2016.
