ISO VG 46 Oil

ISO VG stands for International Standards Organization Viscosity Grade - the number following this acronym refers to the midpoint kinematic viscosity of these oils. In this case, that value is 46 mm²/s (or cSt). Oils labeled as ISO VG (n) are almost exclusively limited to industrial lubricants. ISO VG 46 is a popular weight for industrial lubricants and may be suitable for use in a wide selection of industrial and mobile applications.

Lubricants that may be labeled as ISO VG 46 are common in hydraulic systems, environmentally-conscious manufacturing applications, air and gas compressors, bearings in machine components, and vacuum pumps, but are not limited to these applications.

ISO VG 46 oils have a midpoint kinematic viscosity of 46 mm²/s (or cSt).
