ACEA C5 Engine Oils

Engine oils that meet ACEA C5 are stable, stay in grade oils for use in vehicles fitted with  three way catalyst (TWC) & Diesel Particulate Filters (DPF). Their superior performance allows for extended drain intervals as well as fuel savings. These engine oils are used in modern high performance diesel & gasoline engines, as well as direct injection diesel engines. These types of engines require low friction, low viscosity oil with mid SAPS because  they incorporate exhaust after-treatment devices. They are similar to an ACEA C2 & C3, but the C5 has a lower high temperature / high shear (HT/HS) range of 2.6cP - 2.9cP which is generally a 0W-20 or 5W-20 SAE viscosity.
