AGMA 8 EP, ISO VG 680 | Gear Lube (EP)

Gearboxes, or gear drives, that operate under such intense conditions that they require an extreme-pressure additive in their lubricant, might benefit from an AGMA 8 EP ISO VG 680 oil.

These oils contain additional additives (including the EP additive) that allows them to be the preferable choice of lubricants for gearboxes exposed to extreme pressures, temperatures, and environmental conditions.

Blended from premium petroleum and synthetic base stocks, these oils are designed to keep gear boxes very clean while slowing wear and tear on gear sets.

ISO VG 680 oil has a midpoint kinematic viscosity of 680 mm²/s, also referred to as centistokes (cSt). The midpoint is derived by taking the average of both the minimum and maximum kinematic viscosities of these oils, which is taken into account by the AGMA testing method. For AGMA 8 oils, these numbers are 612 cSt and 748 cSt, respectively.
