The American Petroleum Institue (API) is a trade organization with 500 members that makes up the vast majority of the petroleum industry in the USA. The API releases a yearly report entitled —The State of American Engergy Report " that describes the current marketplace along with the organizations goals and policy objectives. It is an informative piece of information from the industries perspective with great graphs on the national pipeline layout, refining capacity, and much more. This is a great resource and is definitely worth taking a look at.
