ACEA C3 Engine Oils

Engine oils that meet ACEA C3 are stable, stay in grade oils for use in vehicles fitted with  three way catalyst (TWC) & Diesel Particulate Filters (DPF). They are used in modern light duty diesel & high performance gasoline engines, including direct injection diesel engines. These types of engines require low friction, low viscosity, mid SAPS1 lubricant due to the use of exhaust after-treatment devices. ACEA C3 has a minimum high temperature / high shear (HT/HS) of 3.5cP. These oils may meet A3/B4 and API SN, except in the case where the ACEA specification for C3 was issued in 2010 or later.
