AGMA 6 S, ISO VG 320 | Gear Lube | Synthetic

Gearboxes operating in the most intense conditions can provide difficult challenges for the lubricants employed within - AGMA 6S ISO VG 320 Synthetic Gear Lubricants can provide the needed lubrication for these daunting tasks. Although EP (extreme-pressure) additives are commonly employed in these oils for heavily-loaded gearboxes, not all of these machine components can withstand the high-sulphur levels that these additives contain. As such, these synthetic gear lubricants allow for the increased performance and extreme-pressure characteristics without the addition of the EP additives. These lubricants are premium quality, excellent performers, and refined from the finest synthetic stocks.

ISO VG 320 oils have a midpoint kinematic viscosity of 320 mm2/s (or Cst, centistokes). This number is equivalent to an average of the minimum and maximum viscosities derived from AGMA testing. In the case of an AGMA 6 oil, these numbers are 288 mPa.S and 352 mPa.S respectively. Though these numbers do roughly equate to the same thing, it is best to consult with OEM specifications before employing any new oil in a system or machine.
