AGMA 8 EP ISO VG 680 Synthetic EP Gear Lube is lab-engineered to withstand the most extreme temperatures, intense pressures, and undesirable operating conditions that gear boxes often are exposed to when functioning in industrial machines. Combining the increased performance characteristics of an EP, or extreme pressure lubricant (this additive system contains Sulphur), with the outstanding and stable synthetic base stocks, these lubricants are designed to withstand just about any harsh environment.
ISO VG 680 oil has a midpoint kinematic viscosity of 680 mm2/s, also referred to as centistokes (cSt). The midpoint is derived by taking the average of both the minimum and maximum kinematic viscosities of these oils, which is taken into account by the AGMA testing method. For AGMA 8 oils, these numbers are 612 cSt and 748 cSt, respectively.
