Petroleum Service Company offers a wide variety of Daubert Chemical Company manufactured Tectyl corrosion preventative products for Industrial Long Term Rust Protection. These products are designed to protect ferrous and non-ferrous parts for indoor or covered storage, outdoor protection and during domestic and international shipments. These Tectyl rust preventative products are separated in two categories: Solvent Base and Environmentally Friendly .
The solvent base products are manufactured in wax, asphalt and alkyd/wax hybrid technologies. The solvent base wax cutback products are water displacing and formulated to be a long term corrosion inhibitor of steel surfaces.
Several of these Tectyl products meet military specifications: MIL-C-16173E, Grade 2 for Class I & II (Tectyl 502C), MIL-C-16173E Grade 4 Class I (Tectyl 846) and Mil-C-16173E Grade 1 Class I & II (Tectyl 891).
The high solids, amber, wax solvent cutbacks are suitable for the widest range of application requirements including vehicle rust proofing, marine applications (Tectyl 506EH-WD, Tectyl 506G) and an Association of American Railroad approval for axle and wheel components (Tectyl 506EH-WD). The Tectyl products are also applied for the external protection of industrial machined parts during shipment (Tectyl 502C, Tectyl 164) and are compatible with lubricating oils and greases (Tectyl 502C).
The Environmentally Friendly Tectyl products are water reducible products available in wax, alkyd and vinylidene chloride technologies that provide excellent corrosion protection with zero HAPS and low to zero VOC's.
The Tectyl green coatings are an effective barrier against corrosive environments when protecting transportation equipment (Tectyl 4033 wax, Tectyl 300G waterborne alkyd) and related components and parts (Tectyl 2472 VC vinylidene chloride).
