Propylene Glycol (PG) heat transfer fluids are synthetic-based oils intended for use in heating and secondary cooling systems as well as various deicing, defrosting, and dehumidifying applications. These widely applicable fluids provide the benefits of other glycol-based heat transfer fluids while decidedly lowering the toxicity. They are an environmentally friendly alternative to other types of Heat Transfer fluids.
These fluids have exceptional thermal stability and minimize the potential for boil-overs and freeze-up damage. Additionally, these fluids protect against corrosion and have long service lives.
Some of the applications that Propylene Glycol (PG) Heat Transfer Fluids are appropriate for are solar heating systems, secondary loop refrigeration, ground source heat pumps, thermal energy storage, fire sprinkler systems, and as a general antifreeze/coolant.*
*Check OEM specifications and Product Data Sheets to determine which PG HTF will suit your application.
