Chevron Black Pearl SRI NLGI 2 Green Polyurea Grease

(Formerly known as Chevron SRI Grease)

Chevron "Black Pearl" SRI Grease 2 is a high temperature polyurea electric motor grease formulated for use in a wide range of both automotive and industrial applications. It is formulated with highly refined base stocks, a modern ashless, organic polyurea thickener coupled with high performance rust and oxidation inhibitors (the latter to provide outstanding rust protection in severe applications that many electric motor applications are exposed to in field operations). Its texture is smooth and buttery and its color is dark green.

It is a multipurpose lubricant and is recommended for use in a variety of applications, including high temperature operations (302°F and higher), high speed operations (antifriction bearings operating at 10,000 rpm and greater) and situations where water or salt water will likely get into the bearings.

Features 

NLGI 2 grade greases from Chevron are formulated using highly refined base stocks, a modern ash-less, organic polyuria thickener, and high performance rust and oxidation inhibitors. They are designed to withstand rust in severe applications that electric motors are exposed to while in operation. This grease can also be used as a “life pack” lubricant in sealed bearings.

Note: on motors where horsepower and load are high on the roller bearing, and EP grease should be used, such as Black Pearl Grease EP, which is fully compatible with SRI Grease 2.
