Grade 80 | SAE 40

Aviation lubricants have grading systems exclusive to oils used in aircraft engines. Aviation Grade 80 Oils, or SAE 40 oils, have a viscosity of 14.6 cSt @ 100°C. SAE stands for the Society of Automotive Engineers, but that is not to say these oils may be used in automotive applications. Certain varieties Aviation Grade 80, SAE 40 oils may be used as break-in oils for aviation engines and as lubricants for normal operation of aviation engines.
