Tectyl 275 Transparent Water-Displacing, Lubricating, and Penetrating Oil Corrosion Preventive Compound with Fingerprint Remover QPL Approved Meeting MIL-C-15074E

Tectyl 275 is a Qualified Products Listed (QPL) for military specification MIL-C-15074E, QPL Reference Number AR-20-85.
This specification covers a corrosion preventive compound intended for use as a fresh fingerprint residue remover and suppressant, as well as an easily removable temporary corrosion preventive for metallic items.

Tectyl 275 is a high-quality, solvent base, water-displacing corrosion inhibitor compound, lubricant, and penetrant cutback with mineral spirits.
This corrosion inhibiting compound efficiently works as a premium lubricant and penetrant that will deeply penetrate tight spaces, cracks, and crevices of industrial parts or transportation components. Helping to displace water that may be trapped in these isolated areas and provides corrosion protection on metal surfaces even in hard-to-reach or hidden parts of the equipment.

Tectyl 275 cures to an ultra-light, transparent, and oily film providing reliable and cost-effective protection of various surfaces against corrosion, enhanced lubrication of equipment, and extended equipment and machinery life in moisture-ridden environments.

Product Uses

• Transparent, Water-Displacing Corrosion Preventive Compound, Lubricant and Penetrant Oil that provides long-lasting metal protection for industrial parts and transportation parts from corrosion during the manufacturing process and within storage.
• Transparent, oily film has fingerprint suppressant and superb fingerprint removal capabilities.
• Not recommended for outdoor protection.

Product Performance:

• When applied at the recommended wet film thickness of 1 mil over the surface profile, it will deposit the recommended dry film thickness of 0.20 mils.
• Dry-to-touch in 15-30 minutes and will cure in 2-3 hours when applied at recommended film thickness of 0.20 mils.
• Flashpoint greater than 140°F.
• Covers 2,566 square ft. per gallon when applied at the recommended film thickness.
• Can provide up to 3 years of indoor protection.

Application Equipment Recommendations: 

• Can be sprayed, dipped, brush applied, or flow coated.
