Tectyl 603 Polymeric, Water Emulsifiable, Phosphated Part Corrosion Preventive Approved for General Motors 6035-M Specification

Tectyl 603 is a high-quality polymeric, water emulsifiable corrosion preventive designed to provide exceptional long-term corrosion protection when coating phosphated and painted parts such as hinges, bolts, screws, fasteners, etc.
Rigorously tested and proven to meet the comprehensive set of requirements for General Motors (GM) 6035-M Phosphating Specification, Tectyl 603 is approved for application on General Motors phosphated parts and components.

Tectyl 603 is specially formulated with an additive that, when emulsified at 20% concentration in water, will deliver long-term corrosion prevention through a durable and self-healing film coating that provides superior salt spray protection compared to conventional water soluble rust preventive oils.
This premium concentrated water emulsifiable corrosion preventive coating is an easily applicable, amber liquid that will ultimately cure to form a clear and transparent corrosion inhibiting film.

Tectyl 603 meets the demanding requirements set by General Motors 6035-M Phosphating Specification and has been proven to, when applied as a water emulsion, grant extremely effective, long-term corrosion protection for properly phosphated parts and painted components.

Product Uses:

• Amber, Polymeric, Water Emulsifiable Corrosion Preventive Coating designed for powerful corrosion protection when coating both phosphated and painted components.
• Approved for use where General Motors (GM) 6035-M Phosphating specification.
• Provides superior salt spray protection compared to more conventional water-soluble rust preventive oils.
• Phosphated parts coated with an emulsion of 20% Tectyl 603 and 80% water, will pass the 240 hour salt spray requirement of the GM 6035-M Specification.
• Deposits a self-healing film on phosphated parts and components.

Product Performance:

• When diluted at 20% concentration in water and applied at the recommended wet film thickness of 0.7 mils over the phosphated surface profile, it will deposit the recommended dry film thickness (DFT) of 0.125 mils.
• Provides up to 4 months of indoor or undercover protection.

Application Equipment Recommendations: 

• Applied as a water emulsion.
• Formulated for a dip application.
• Should be slowly added with agitation to a tank of de-ionized water with a 140-160F temperature.
