Tectyl 823EM is an internal combustion engine oil and corrosion preventive formulated to provide protection from corrosion and wear for metal engine parts and transportation equipment assemblies during long-term covered shipment and indoor storage.
This premium preservative engine oil doubles as a substantial lubricant for moving metal parts.

Tectyl 823EM will cure to form a translucent and oily protective film that efficiently prevents corrosion continuously on metallic surfaces while also preventing moisture from directly interacting with sensitive electrical components.

Product Uses

• Translucent, Internal Combustion Preservative Engine Oil Corrosion Preventive designed to provide long-term protection for metal engine components from corrosion during covered shipments or indoor storage.
• Provides extensive lubricating properties for moving metal parts such as pistons, valves, chains, and bearings that require smooth movement.
• Approved under the General Motor’s Electromotive Division (EMD) Approval Number 130-OI-26.

Product Performance:

• Miscible and compatible with all conventional SAE Grade 10w, 15w, 30, and 40 weight internal combustion oils.
• Utilizing this product for preparing used engines for storage may result in its dilution with contaminated engine oil.
• Treating multiple units with the same oil change will result in oil dilution and a decrease in overall protection.
• Re-use of Tectyl 823EM should be restricted to no more than 3 units.
• Complete draining of the crankcase and oil sumps is recommended prior to treatment with this product.
• Can provide up to 5 years of indoor or undercover protection.
