Tectyl 810, 54 Gal. drum, is a water-emulsifiable, oil concentrate, corrosion-preventive compound with excellent lubricity for a variety of industrial metalworking applications. The film is thin and oily.
Tectyl 810 is recommended for use by automobile seat spring manufactures as a protective coating to protect against rust.
Surface Preparation:The maximum performance of this product can be achieved only when the metal surfaces to be protected are clean, dry, and free of rust, oil, and mill scale. Daubert Chemical Company recommends that the metal substrate temperature be 50-95F (10-35C) at the time of product application.
Application:This compound is primarily applied in water emulsions in 5 to 25 percent concentrations. Proper concentrations of Tectyl 810 should be evaluated before implementing its use. Consult Daubert Chemical Company for further information. This product may be used in recirculating systems at 40 - 120F (4 - 49C). When mixing, always add the oil to the water with the oil and water at 70 - 90F (21 - 32C). Removal:This product can be removed if necessary with Tectyl HPS solvent-borne thinner, vapor degreasing, or standard hot alkali systems.
Caution: Refer to Daubert's Safety Data Sheet for health and safety information.
NOTE:The addition of any product over or under this coating is not recommended. The use of additional coatings could result in chemical incompatibility, thus adversely affecting the performance of this coating as stated in the lab data section. If a product other than Daubert Chemical Company's recommended product is required, written authorization must be obtained from Daubert Chemical Company, Inc.
