Tectyl 810 Water Emulsifiable Mineral Oil Rust Preventive and Lubricating Metalworking Compound for Various Industrial Metalworking Applications

Tectyl 810 is a water emulsifiable, oil concentrate, rust preventive compound formulated to deliver exceptional lubrication and corrosion protection on metal surfaces for a wide range of industrial metalworking applications reliant on metallic components or equipment.
When mixed or diluted with water, this premium oil-based corrosion inhibitor compound forms a stable, milky white emulsion primarily used in multi-stage manufactured parts cleaning systems.

Tectyl 810 is primarily emulsified at 5-25% concentration in water, providing a perfect combination of intense lubrication and rust prevention properties from the oil while the water works to dissipate heat and reduce friction to ensure the metal surfaces stay cool.
This high quality metalworking compound is also useful for multiple processes like cutting, forming, stamping, and other metal shaping operations.

With easy surface application, Tectyl 810 cures to form a thin, clear, non-discernible protective film that, at the recommended dry-film thickness (DFT), delivers remarkable water displacement and resistance characteristics for advanced rust prevention.
In addition, Tectyl 810 offers an economical advantage where just a little product can go a long way.
Its thin film application allows for a much larger area of protection with only a small amount of the product.

Whether it's safeguarding industry equipment or enhancing overall metalworking processes,
Tectyl 810 is the ideal choice to ensure substantial levels of lubrication, cooling, and expert rust prevention for your valuable metallic equipment and assets.

Product Uses:

  • An oil-based, water-emulsifiable corrosion preventive coating used in multistage manufactured parts cleaning systems, providing rust prevention and excellent lubricity for various industrial metalworking applications.
  • Primarily applied in water emulsions in 5-25% concentrations to form a milky white emulsion that is very easy to apply to surfaces.
  • When mixing ALWAYS add Tectyl 810 oil to the water (Ideally de-mineralized or distilled water).
  • Deposits a clear non-discernible protective film coating that can hardly be seen or felt after it is cured.
  • At the recommended dry film thickness (DFT), the water resistance and water displacement provide fast and powerful protection against corrosion.
  • Requiring only a thin film, this protective water resistant film is a perfect economical option as it requires much less product to protect a significantly larger area.
  • When diluted 12:1, it has been used to protect automobile seat springs because it does not bleed through upholstery.
  • Protects tail pipes and exhaust systems in storage and phosphate fasteners, springs, and hinges in service or in storage.
  • When used in dip tanks, the emulsion should be gently circulated or agitated prior to use.

Product Performance:

  • When applied at the recommended wet film thickness of 0.6 mils over the surface profile, it will deposit the recommended dry film thickness of 0.05 mils.
  • Covers 31,438 square ft. per gallon when applied at the recommended film thickness.
  • Can provide up to 6 months of indoor protection on metal substrates at the recommended dry film thickness.

Application Equipment Recommendations:

  • Pumps with ratios of 15:1 or greater are advised for efficient use of container content.
  • Tungsten Carbide Nozzles Tip in the spray gun is recommended. (.007" to .009" tip orifice size)
  • High Pressure Fluid Hose of no less than 3/8 in. diameters is suggested for less than 50 ft. of material hose.
  • Low Ratio pumps (15-30:1): operate through 100 ft. of 1/2 in. & 50 ft. of 3/8 in. hose for a max of 150 ft.
  • High Ratio pumps(>30:1): operate through 200 ft. of 1/2 in & 50 ft. of 3/8 in. hose for a max of 250 ft.
  • Can be applied via spray or dip tank.

Identification & Classification Codes/Numbers:

  • Export Control Classification Number (ECCN):
    • EAR99
