Chevron Cetus Hipersyn 460
Chevron Cetus Hipersyn 460 is a synthetic lubricant generally designed for applications with wider operating temperature ranges as compared to non-synthetic oils. Cetus is a premium product line of oils manufactured by Chevron Lubricants for air compressors; especially portable and stationary rotary, vane, and screw compressors. HiperSyn refers to rust and oxidation oils the are formulated from Synthesized Hydro-Carbon base oil that provides exceptional thermal & oxidation resistance and improved flow properties over conventional based lubricants. These oils are especially effective in high temperature applications, such as industrial bearings and gears that require an R&O-type synthetic gear oil as well as sootblowers. 460 represents the thickness of the oil which is an International Standards Organization Viscosity Grade (ISO VG) 460.
