No Oil better than Kendall GT-1
I began using Kendall GT-1 Competition Motor Oil back in the late 60's early 70's. I have used it in all of my vehicles and equipment such as farm tractors, etc. consistently. I have never lost an engine, never had an "oil eater", never had valve train noise including lifters. Absolutely the finest oil one can put in a combustion engine, baring none!

Best for a Mercedes 560SEC which likes higher zinc
I have a 1990 560SEC which has a flat tappet camshaft, calling for oil with higher zinc content. I didn't want to go with a partial synthetic (Brad Penn, which is also substantially more money $30 per case plus more in shipping.) I liked that this has titanium as an additive. A very modern oil that works well on "chronologically gifted" cars like mine with 332K miles on it. I will tell you that I had Castrol 20-50 in it with Liqui Moly MoS2 anti-friction as a separate additive. When I started the car with this new mixture of Kendall it was like a night and day difference in my engine smoothing out! Can't say enough good things!

Best non synthetic oil out there for your classic 911
I have used this oil in both of my air-cooled Porsches and it has all the right stuff from an additive package and viscosity range for these cars. The extra zinc gives peace of mind and the price is very competitive. I have done Blackstone analysis on both cars and very pleased with how it holds up.

Good Stuff
But hard to find, actually impossible, where I live so I have to order it on-line from PSC. That said, I get what I want and it's no more expensive than if I could get it locally...I WIN!!! I like using Kendal because way back when, I found that a lot of motorcycle shops used and recommended it. Air cooled motorcycle engines can experience greater temperature stress than liquid cooled cars for the most part. So they used this for a reason. If it's good enough for them it's great for my cars...and bikes.
