STARFIRE GL-5 GEAR LUBRICANT SAE 85w-140 is a multi-purpose lubricant designed for service in automotive and heavy-duty applications. It is formulated with refined paraffinic base stocks and a sulfur-phosphorus extreme-pressure (EP) additive package, which provides excellent thermal and oxidative stability, as well as anti-foam, anti-rust, and anti-corrosion protection, and has excellent load-carrying capabilities.

• STARFIRE GL-5 Gear Lubricant meets the API GL-5 Service. Designation as well as the MIL-L-2105F and MIL Prf 2105E and is suitable for use in limited-slip differentials.
• STARFIRE GL-5 Gear Lubricant is also suitable for use in Mack GO-H & GO-J and Proposed PG-1/PG-2 Service Designations, Scania STO 110, MERITOR®-076D (80W90), and MERITOR®-076A (85W140), MAN 342 M2 (160,000 km), and MB 235.
• STARFIRE GL-5 Gear Lubricant meets API MT 1. For use when extreme-pressure (EP) gear oils are required: in all heavy duty truck differentials, in all domestic automobile differentials and some manually shifted transmissions, heavy duty manually shifted truck transmissions requiring API MT 1 performance, and oil-lubricated wheel bearings.
