Undercoating In A Can Black Wax Automotive Undercoating

Undercoating In A Can, Black Wax Coating is a premium wax-based rust preventative sealant that protects undercarriages, and is designed for Commercial and Automotive vehicle, trailers and equipment. Coverage is roughly 200 sq. ft. per gallon based on proper thickness of 5 mils dry (6.5 - 8 mils wet). A single case of 12/12oz aerosol cans is enough to properly treat the average passenger car vehicle's under-body. Larger SUV's and Trucks we recommend 2 cases of 12/12oz aerosol cans for proper coverage.

A new addition to this line is the cost effective 12/32 oz QUIK CHANGE Quarts that utilize our QUIKCOAT EZ Sprayer. With this size option, 1 case provides complete coverage for most passenger cars and light trucks.

Wax-based undercoating technology has protected United States Military vehicles (MIL-PRF-62218B) and semi-trailer chassis components, exposed to harsh, highly corrosive environments for over 50 years. This premium wax based undercoating is also the ultimate protection for your family vehicles.

Undercoating In A Can Black Wax Coating is a "Rust Encapsulating" product meaning it can be applied to existing rust areas and will deter further compounding effects of rust (Rust Cancer). The coating has been continuously improved over the product lifetime to resist the very harmful side effects modern road salts- magnesium, calcium, and potassium chlorides.

This rust inhibiting and sound deadening sealant forms a firm barrier film when applied to metal and wood structures, thereby extending the useful life of the coated surface. This coating exhibits excellent gravel, power wash, and impact resistance.

The latest revision of SAE J2721, for commercial trucks, requires coatings, intended for chassis components, to be exposed to SAE J400 gravel test, where high velocity stones are thrown at the film of coating, before cyclic exposure to the corrosive salt solutions. Consequently, excellent gravel resistance is vital for long term performance. Get the ultimate protection from Undercoating In A Can.

    Over-Spray Issue

Posted by TB on Mar 28 2019

I had a concern because I had some over spray after treating my 2014 GMC Pick-up. I was instructed by PSC that it should come off with a little mineral spirits. I ended up using odorless mineral spirits from my local hardware store and it worked perfect. Thank You PSC!

    Undercoating in a can

Posted by mmperfdiesel on Oct 23 2018

I purchased the Undercoating in a can and spray gun kit to protect my pickup. Even with the material at 70degrees, it was very slow and difficult to get it from the 5 gallon pail into the 1liter bottle of the spray gun. I was able to warm the product to about 80 degrees and that helped a lot. Even warmer would be better. While using the 360 degree spray attachment the product was not spraying well at the 80 psi recommended air pressure but works much better at 100 psi. The product covered very well and did not drip at all. I used about 4 gallons to do the underbody, underbed, inside of doors, fenderwells, frame, and tailgate of a crewcab longbox truck. Overall it is a good product and I hope it protects as well as it should. I would recommend it and I have already purchased another pail to do the underside of a snowmobile trailer

Best product for undercarriage I've found.

Posted by Twainer on Aug 31 2018

I have a 2001 olds that I'm determined to keep pristine. Every fall I power wash and clean the undercarriage because that's where the battle against rust starts and I can't fix what's rusted away. This spray goes on more evenly than paint cans and I know since its wax based it's going to seal salt out effectively. This is my 4th year with this undercoating and I've been impressed with how well it performs. The salt spray they put on the roads here will eat an older car in one season, but my olds looks brand new, winter after winter. I don't mind re-applying once a year; in fact, I think its better because tar or paint hides blemishes that need attention. I spent a few hours cleaning the underside, then the next day, I coat everything thoroughly. It's easy to apply and not messy like paint or tar products. Undercoat in a can gets applied anywhere rust might form. It's great stuff.

Best undercoating that I have seen in a ling time

    Posted by n/a on Jul 24 2018

I live up here in the rust belt where cars don't last very long if you don't undercoat. I have been looking for a good undercoating for a long time, and all that I could find was oil based undercoating which would wash off in six months, undercoating is a can dose not it is not as messy as the oil based and after it sets up you can touch it and not get covered with oil. I would highly recommend for it for any one that wants to keep there car or truck long term . happy customer in Vermont

    product review

Posted by None on Jul 20 2018

I purchased 12 cans of "Undercoating in a can" and was very pleased with the companies timely delivery of this product. Ordinarily the trigger doesn't come with this size order, but after I requested the part number and price for the trigger a rep from the company contacted me and said they would send me the trigger free of charge. I thought that was very generous of them. As far as the product, it sprayed on nicely and the video they provide on their website was informative. As far as how well this product works for rust protection, I'll let you know in 5 years. Judging by texture when applied it will probably beat no protection at all.
