Chevron Rando HDZ ISO 32 Cold Weather Hydraulic Oil

Chevron Rando HDZ 32 is a High Viscosity Index (HVI) cold weather hydraulic oil that is formulated with premium base oil technology to provide the highest level of protection to hydraulic pumps. Its unique formulation includes antiwear additives, oxidation and corrosion inhibitors, and a sheer stable viscosity index improver to provide the best possible protection for optimal pump efficiency.

This multi-viscosity lubricant is recommended for use in hydraulic or circulating oil systems, such as marine on-deck machinery, hydraulic actuated loading bins, and equipment that requires a wider operating temperature.

Chevron Rando HDZ 32 oil meets the following requirements:

  • ISO VG 15
  • ASTM D6158, HV
  • DIN 51524-3
  • ISO 11158 L-HV

In a clean, dry environment, this lubricant typically meets a dielectric strength of 35 kV? (ASTM D877?).

Performance characteristics

  • High oxidation stability
  • Rust and corrosion protection
  • High viscosity index (140)
  • Foam suppressant
  • Excellent anti-wear properties
  • Filterability

Hydraulic pumps can experience accelerated wear if they are not protected by a high quality hydraulic fluid. This particular oil has been specially formulated with antiwear additives to minimize metal-to-metal contact. Limiting metal-to-metal contact is especially important in vane-, piston-, and gear-type pumps.

Chevron’s HVI hydraulic fluid provides the needed antiwear protection for pumps that increase pressure at over 1000psi.  Rando HDZ lubricants provide up to 5% improvement in overall pump efficiency when compared to a typical monograde hydraulic fluid.

Note: Chevron Rando HDZ was formerly Texaco Rando HDZ
