Mobil

Mobil is a major American oil brand with a wide range of automotive, industrial, aviation and marine lubricants. Previously one of the “Seven Sisters” that dominated the global petroleum industry, Mobil merged with Exxon in 1999 to form a parent company, ExxonMobil.

Besides their quality lubricants and gasoline, Mobil is also known for its recognizable Pegasus—one of the most recognized corporate symbols in American petroleum history. The red-winged horse has been a Mobil company trademark since its affiliation with Magnolia Petroleum Company in the 1930s, although the Pegasus itself has been a part of the oil industry since trademarked in 1911 by the vacuum Oil Company. While the Pegasus mascot remains in use on Vehicles, buildings, and equipment, it is no longer a primary logo for the company.
